Calming your mind and body with the colour blue

The harmonious coulour blue is  also the colour of healing and calming. Blue light was used already in the 50´s to treat jaundice and rheumatoid arthritis.

In the middle of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the colour blue helps us relax and slow down, improve concentration and patience. It affects the parasympathetic nervous system, which works most efficiently during rest or sleep; the breathing rate slows down and the blood pressure decreases. Therefore, it is often recommended to decoreate the bedroom with blue colours.

If you have want of more blue colour in your environment, it could be a sign of mental or physical exhaustion and the need of calming down. There might be too much chaos in life during which you can’t stop.

Loneliness, on the other hand, is indicated by disliking the colour blue. In excessive doses, blue can lead to apathy, indifference, insensitivity, or the inability to express thoughts and feelings.

In the treatment of diseases, blue is especially used to treat varicose veins and rheumatism. In addition to these, it is a great relief for problems in the throat and neck area, insomnia, fever, and headache. And it curbs the appetite.

If you want to overcome your fears, express yourself or find your inner essence, use blue. It is the color of dreams, and intuition cleansing the body and increasing creativity and clairvoyance. Also, use blue when you want to get rid of anxiety and restlessness.
