Vegvisir (the runic compass, Viking compass, Nordic compass) is a compass-like symbol known for its guiding and protective qualities. The bearer of Vegvisir is said to always find their way despite the challenges of the journey, even when they do not know where they are going. According to one belief, during the Viking Age Vegvisir symbols were painted with blood on a warrior’s forehead, in a similar way to the Aegishjalmur symbol, to help them find their way to their destination and safely back again. The Viking Drum is a unique piece of Finnish craftsmanship. It is a versatile instrument that can be used not only for drumming, but also for meditation, healing sessions, or simply to bring atmosphere and a touch of mystery to your home.

The frame of the Viking Drum is made of double-layered birch plywood, and the drumhead is Finnish reindeer hide. The wooden cross handle provides a firm and comfortable grip.

The design is screen-printed. Please note: The Viking Drum is well suited for playing, but the printed symbols may wear off if they are rubbed, scratched, or exposed to repeated friction.

A drum beater is included in the price of the shaman drum. Please note that the colour and shape of the beater may differ from the one shown in the photos.
