An Immersive Shamanic Drum Experience in a Handcrafted Kota
Experience a shamanic journey in Lapland – come for a restorative sound journey!
In our garden stands small handcrafted kota, with a fire crackling at its heart. Wooden benches line the walls and you settle beside the flames. You’re wrapped up warmly, as outside the frost grips hard and winter paints its light across the sky – in stars, northern lights, or the sun’s low-hanging glow.
Your hosts step inside with their drums. The rhythm begins slowly and fills the space. The sound travels through your body, your eyes drift closed and your mind grows still. All that remains is the fire, the rhythm of the drum, and this moment.
We welcome groups of 2–6 people. The experience is offered as a private booking, with a minimum charge for two people. A small group allows for a peaceful, focused experience around the fire and drum.
The drum session isn’t a performance or a lecture. We’re not here to entertain, but to create a space where you can quieten down and simply be. The experience is built on sound, fire, and presence – not on words.
The drum’s vibrations affect many people deeply. It can relax the body, open the mind, and bring emotions or visions to the surface. Each person experiences the moment in their own way. There’s a touch of northern silence and a hint of mysticism woven through.
Price:
290 € for 2 people.
Additional participants +50 € / person (max. 6 people)
The small group size keeps the experience peaceful and personal.
The experience takes place in Savukoski, in the village of Tanhua, nestled in Lapland’s tranquillity. Detailed directions will be sent with your booking confirmation.

I’m Sari, “Rumpu-ukko” – an entrepreneur from Savukoski, from the village of Tanhua. I’ve been handcrafting shamanic drums for over ten years. Nearly 2,500 of them have found homes around the world.
The drum isn’t a performance piece for me – it’s part of life. I also work with sound and presence, and I know how the drum’s pulse can affect body and mind. The kota in our garden isn’t a stage set, but a place where I find peace by the fire with my shamanic drum in my hands.
Now I’m ready to share this moment with you too.
