Special Drum Cat

Our unique special edition drums caress your senses in many levels. The Sami Drum is filled with ancient mystic of a Shaman who asked advice and help from his forefathers. The symbols on the hide were important for Shamans picturing places of worship or The Tree of Life.
Our Sami Drums give life to that same ancient mystique with their deep sound and vibrations. The sound of the drum guides the listener deep into the body and mind helping him/her to relax and meditate. Hand-drawn power symbols communicate their own message to you. The drum is suitable for playing and giving that magical Lapland atmosphere to your home.
Handpainted, unique animal and nature illustrations tell the story of Finnish nature and are a perfect fit to your homes decoration. Though pretty, they sure are made for playing.
The low sound of the Shaman’s drum guides you deep into a meditative state, helping you to relax and calm down.
Finnish handcraft. Frame out of 7mm waxed Finnish birch ply wood. The hide is Finnish undyed reindeer skin.
Drums come in different sizes and shapes.
A drumstick is included.
Out of stock
The hide is genuine reindeer skin which should be oiled one to three times a year, depending on the usage. The skin is greased with a bees wax -based skin care product all around.
The drums have been greased by us before shipment.
The drum “lives” with the humidity, making the skin loosen up a bit when it’s moister and tighten up when the air is drier. Humidity affects the pitch of the drum. If the skin on your drum is too loose, you can dry it carefully in the sun or with a hair dryer. If the skin is too tight, loosen it by wiping with a damp cloth or by spraying some water on it. The skin doesn’t react immediately to tuning so give it few minutes to adjust.
Don’t ever leave Shaman’s drum to extremities, such as a hot car or freezing cold as that might rupture the skin.

Adjustable Shaman Drum Mirage 2673
Looking for a shamanic drum that performs reliably regardless of weather? We're proud to introduce our latest innovation: an adjustable shamanic drum*, your perfect companion for shamanic journeys.
Handcrafted in our Lapland workshop, this M-size shamanic drum is truly versatile. Its deep, belly-resonating sound instantly draws you and your listeners into a state of presence. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced drummer, this drum will fit your hand like an old friend.
The drum's adjustment mechanism makes it a trustworthy companion for all situations*. During summer's humid weather, you won't be caught out - you can easily adjust the drum skin's tension using the inner tube. This feature is particularly handy when you need an 'always playable' drum for healing work or performances.
The adjustment mechanism is simple to use via a car-type valve. You'll just need a pump, which you can purchase separately from our selection if you don't already have one.
Nature and its preservation are incredibly important to us, which is why we source our drum materials primarily from local, responsible producers. The frame is crafted from double-layered birch plywood, finished with wood wax. The drum skin is made from local reindeer hide, available either natural or beautifully water-stained in various colours. The drum features a wooden cross-grip handle bound with cord, providing excellent control while playing.
Package includes:
- Drum (41 cm diameter, 900g weight)
- Drumstick (colour and shape may vary from image)
- Comprehensive care instructions
*Please note: whilst the adjustable drum is a reliable instrument, it won't perform in extreme conditions. Also bear in mind that pumping air - tightening and loosening - stretches the drum skin and will, over time, affect its acoustic properties.
